Our Annual (Virtual) Birthmother's Day Event
For Birthmother’s Day this year, we taking the metaphor of Kintsugi – a porcelain repair technique from Japan, Japanese repair technique in which broken ceramics are put back together
by sealing the broken edges together with real gold – and applying it to our own lives. Kintsugi tells us that nothing is ever perfect, and that there is beauty to be found in the imperfect and incomplete, and reminds us to find ways to reframe our mindset to build ourselves lives that are beautiful and imperfect.
Birthmother’s Day can be a very hard weekend for birthparents, and spending it in community with other birthmothers can help. Make a plan to join us on May 11th, as our community comes together to find peace and healing.
