Supportive Resources for Adoption Professionals

  • Promote honesty, openness and respect for family connections in adoption, foster care and assisted reproduction. We provide education for our members and professional communities about the lifelong process of adoption. We advocate legislation that will grant every individual access to information about his or her family and heritage.

  • Birthmother Bridge Ministries is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping birth mothers of adopted children and honoring their loving decision to place their babies for adoption. We will provide opportunities for birthmothers to network with other birthmothers through weekend retreats as well as offer counseling and mentoring. We want birthmothers to know and trust that we care about them after the placement of their child.

  • CUB provides support for all family members separated by adoption; resources to help prevent unnecessary family separations; education about the life-long impact on all who are affected by adoption; and advocates for fair and ethical adoption laws, policies, and practices.

On Your Feet has worked with adoption professionals, social workers and birthparents to create materials to help guide you in providing the best possible post-placement care.

  • 10 guidelines for caring for expectant parents considering adoption. This form can be provided to hospital staff.

  • Description of Programs and Services which may be printed and shared with birthparents after an adoption has been finalized. This form is not for expectant parents. On Your Feet's services may never be used as an incentive for a parent to choose to place their child for adoption.

  • Our outreach training program, developed in 2016 and updated in 2024, is available to Birthparent Support Alliance members as part of your membership. Non-Members may purchase the training. Please email Heather Janiga for more information.

Thank you for recognizing the importance of post-placement support:
